Dad's family consisted of, by order of birth, Virginia, Frank (Uncle Hap), Jean, Dad, John and Tom.

Virginia died 8 days after surgery on her appendicitis. I'm sure today's technology would have prevented such a death of child so young (five years old), but in the '20s it was relatively common. Jean and John died at birth or shortly thereafter.

Uncle Hap as most of us know died in 1988. He served in WWII in Australia, Philippies Liberation Army and Japan.

Uncle Tom died in 1978 in Las Vegas. I think most of us went to his funeral. And as we know, we have relatives from this side (Aunt Jackie, Lance, and Vaughn).
